Mine is 2wd, just put a locking differential in it and youll be able to do 85% of the things that an open diff 4x4 can do. A couple things that they cant too!

Only big problem with 2wd is hill climing, youll slip a bit on the steep ones. But i wouldnt trade my locked 2wd for an open diff 4x4, yet that is.

I also have a 2wd with a LSD and its a great toy. The only issues i've really had is steep hills, sand, and thick mud. besides that they can do alot. Plus you learn alot driving skills then.

Get the deal, slap a locker in it and your good to go!

guy wants 1500 for it. its as basic as you can get in a cherokee. only problems are it has a power steering leak and the turn signal only works turning right and you have to turn the lights on to start it

The ad doesn't list whether or not it's a 5 speed or an automatic, but 5 speeds are tons of fun to wheel with. Little bit of an extra challenge.

I know, and defintly, I found wheeling with a 5-speed is alot funner because you have full control of the jeep, besides theres nothing like romping the gears every once and awhile

Ive got an lsd in my 2000 4x4. I wheel in 2wd 95% of the time. Its only in deep mud or hill climbs that I have to kick in the 4wd. Id say go for it and like stated above slap in a locker.
