Cool 1993 cherokee 4.0

I swapped out a 4.0 blown engine for a "junk yard" replacement. Everything was running and fine before teardown. The replacement came from a Grand Cherokee same year, after replacing all the brackets it finally bolted into place. The only thing NOT replaced was the distributer. I have checked all the connection and I can not find any unplugged. I had another "mechanic" loo at it and work for 10 hrs and no results. It now is at Wissler Chrysler/Jeep dealer and they have 7 hrs of labor in it with no results or answers--At 115 per hour I think I better lick my wounds, and call it a loss thing and junk it out?
If one person write back--replace the CPS sensor--I will hang myself!!! Been ther done that 4 times hoping, each time was a new one so if you need one drop me a line. A new computer box on the fender well, no luck, pick-up coil, a new coil. It gets fuel-but no spark.
Is there a plauseable to follow the wiring diagram for each circuit and fine the problem.

Quick thought... Have you checked or replace the ASD relay? Might not be the problem because I don't think you would have fuel if the ASD were bad, but worth a check.

hmm...I know this sounds stupid, but are your headlights working and bright? Also, i know you said you have fuel, but do you hear the fuel pump stay on or is it intermittent?

Will it start but not stay running? Had this problem when I switched out an engine. Found out that every time you remove the battery cable you have to reset the "Security System" . In my case just put your key in the drivers door and locking and unlocking it.
Sounds dumb but it took me 3 days to figure that one out,

Verify all grounds have been reconnected. As you check each one, inspect it for corrosion and clean the contact surfaces if needed.
