1990 jeep cherokee ignition switch
I have a 1990 jeep cherokee and my key is stuck in the ignition and I can get the key out when I touch the ignition switch on top of the steering column but every time I put the key in the ignition the key gets stuck and I have to crawl under my steering column and it's annoying. Any hints on how to fix it so my key comes out ever time. Please help if you know my problem.

Hi Jonesaus000 and Welcome to the Forum.
It sounds like the switch has slid in its adjustment and is preventing the key cylinder from moving to the position where the key will pull out.
I would try to slide the switch up towards the wheel and then snug down the small bolts that hold it in place. I know there is not much room to work down there but I think this is the problem.
Best of luck!

i don't think this is right. the key will rotate all the way back to accessory position. if the switch was out of position it wouldn't rotate no matter what. and it only gets stuck once in a while and all i do is mess with the ignition switch and the key comes out right way. The key just will not come out every time i want it to come out. any help would be appreciated.

Your best help will be your hands and eyes as you dig in there and try to figure it out. Cruiser already gave the most help another could give by pointing out where you need to look and do the work.
Or you could pay a shop probably around $75-$100 to do it for you...
