1986 cherokee vibration

1986 cherokee front end vibrating like crazy . could hardly hang onto steering wheel, after going over bumb

Is it when you get to a certain speed? To me, from what you described, the vibrating sounds like death wobble. Search it

Vibration? was it more like a wump, wump, wump, wump! And your steering wheeling shaking back and forth because that's death wobble. Common causes are unbalanced/ incorrectly balanced tires, bad steering bushings and links, bad trackbar tie rod end, and other worn out steering/suspension problems. gimme more info... tire size? where were they balanced? have you been offroading?(particulary mud), have you been greasing your front end regularly? do you have a lift?
