Default Is 185,000 mi too much?

I saw a black jeep cherokee on Craigslist for 2000 dollars. It has 185,000mi. It's a 1996. I want to buy it. I'm going to do a car fax first. Do you guys think that is too many miles? My 1st one was a 1992 with 150k mi. It got destroyed last week at 170k. I bought it in 2012. Some quick advice would be nice. Thank you!

I'd buy it. Assuming it's the 4.0 just check the fluids

I got my 98 with 222,000 miles. right now it has 278,000. I would buy it. Check out the body for rust and what Lake00XJ said check all the fluids. I would also shine a light into the valve cover from the oil cap and see if there is excessive sludge build up.

Don't let the miles scare you. That's nothing for these motors. Do check it out to make sure it's in good shape though.
