If you know so much, why can't you use punctuation and sentence structure and come across as an intelligent/ knowledgeable person in your trade?

That's the same stuff I do...

I'm building 2 500hp VFD drive panels, and a 6 door 5 mullion control panel with 15k in PLC's in it I'm helping write the program for.

The open delta transformer connection CAN be made with only two transformers instead of three... Usually the delta transformers are used in small businesses when a three phase transformer would be excessive.

Use Kirchhoff's voltage law to figure out why you would used it.

ok give pr a break - I see what point he is trying to make and in the way he is looking at it I'm sure there is some validity for some cases. In the 'world' we are talking about (12 volt vehicles) there probably isn't much concern for the insulation on the wire and it has no practical impact on sizing wires.

btw what's the shame in wiring houses? I've wired 2 and I've always been proud of my work

No shame in doing them, I've done my fair share and I'm only 19 lol. Every residential guy seems to know everything and still have the house all boo witchery wired up when he is done. Maybe it's just cheap labor.

He's installing cable, not designing it. I'd trust him a lot more than Richard Feynman.

And on that note... nobody in here has mentioned yet that electrons don't actually move lol. Which is pretty much irrelevant to the subject at hand, but demonstrates my point.

1) Automotive wiring is too ****ing small. ESPECIALLY XJs!
2) Insulation should stand up to extreme heat cycling and have superior chemical resistance
3) Low voltage DC drop is more than AC over distance

Not arguing, just rambling I guess lol

WOW...
Just wire everything 12/2 so you can run 10 circuits instead of 8...

There is no way you could do control and power wiring in the panels I build.

How would plastic insulation varying on MTW or THHN/ TFFN wire allow it to conduct better?
I'm an electrical engineer for a UL 508A shop and design panels for primarily grain dryers and waste water. I know where you're coming from brother! I have talked to so many stupid electricians haha...
