Default $100 lock right?

There is a new lock right in the box for sale at $100

It would be for the the front Dana 30 on the 97.
So for a mostly street driven ride is the lock right good enough?

Default Not sure about this in the front

I have a AUSSIE LOCKER. In the rear of my jeep I would not run a lunch box locker in the front. I live in an area where we get a lot of snow, so I use 4wheel high a lot in the winter on the streets. A front locker would make it to risky for me. I'm not overly worried about crashing my own jeep but I'm not the only one on the road.
Save the money and get a selectable or just get a winch and a rear locker it will do everything you could ask for.
Just a thought.

Unless you have a np242 (part-time/full-time) you shouldn't be using 4wd on the roads at all. In which case if you do have a np242, the front locker will make the full-time option that is set for the roads useless. Front auto lockers are good for if you only run the 4wd off road and never on. One reason why I don't have a front locker here in the Snowy tri-state.

I have a 231 case and I don't use 4x4 on the road.

I still want a locker before a winch. OCD is really kinkin in here.
Thanks for the input

I have an NP242, so I appreciate that input unidentifiedbomb.

A rear locker is in my plans when I re-gear to 4:56.

Different Strokes as they say I run a Detroit Locker in my D30 in 4wd on the highway in the snow.
