But I'll admit...I'd love to grab a Grand Cherokee SRT8. Go test drive one and you'll know what I mean. If I can ever afford one and the gas mileage is has then I'll buy one for a DD

0 mile + 2013 model not worth 25000 ? today
plus 5 years or 100,000 mile warranty

jeep feel sad that they built this 4.0 engines in my opinion, they are just on the streets every where they well never dyed until 2050 lol

yes or no and why
hell no, especially if it still had the 4.0. i love XJs because they are cheap and affordable, not new and expensive. dont get me wrong i like the simplicity of the 4.0 but the new pentastar v6 is ages ahead of the 4.0. i'll take the pentastar over a 4.0 any day.

what i wish jeep would do is make another cheap, small platform with at least a solid rear axle and RWD. the cheapest smallest current jeep model, the Patriot is a FWD platform and independent suspension all around. besides spacers, theres really no simple way to get cheap lift and off road performance. i think if there was a solid and affordable way to make the Patriot a more capable off roader more people would buy them and mod them. Kinda like how the XJ was designed as a grocery getter and now we are taking them and turning them into cheap off roading machines.

No, for 25k I would finish a full build on my XJ, get the engine professionally rebuild and stroked out to 4.7L. And I'd still have cash left to wheel it and fix it when it breaks

I am not in theposition now, but I would if it was somewhat capable. Once I am at the point that my business is making good money I am not wasting my time working on a car when I can be putting that time to better more profitable use. I love my XJ, but in the grand scheme, a new, more reliable vehicle is better.

^^^Sorry, my spell check was flipping out.

Kinda reminds me of a Mercedes that came in a couple of years ago, that needed a new starter. We looked up the instructions on motor-all data and step 1 said........Remove engine from vehicle.

If I wanted a plastic piece of **** and independent suspension I'd buy a Liberty. I wouldnt buy any Jeep after 96 with, the exception of a TJ or 97/98 ZJs.

Chinese made vehicles scare me. I certainly hope they put better quality materials into their cars/trucks than they do their scooters. I've read way too many stories about how they use the lowest grade steel possible and many of their products arrive over here brand new with rusted parts. I read one story about a 250cc scooter someone had bought. The max capacity of it was supposed to be 300 lbs. The owner weighed a mere 138 lbs. 4 miles into his first ride, the rear axle snapped in half. The inspection revealed that the entire axle shaft was riddled with stress cracks and made of very low grade steel.

Jeez and how much time would I have in working on XJ's. Don't get me wrong, I like to wrench but at some point the wife wants me in from the garage and I got other stuff to do.

One that wouldn't need fixing for a month or two would be nice.

SWEET MERCIFUL CRAP!!!!!! I would buy that in a heart beat espically at the $11,000-$15,000 price range. Nope we get overpriced fwd based AWD pieces.
