My buddie and I picked up a 4x8 sheet of 3/16ths and some 1/4 inch flat stock yesterday.hoping to have enough for front and rear bumpers possibility a skid or two depending on how it goes.
Took off the old sorry excuse for a bumper and did some mock up with cardbord.
looked at a couple different bumpers home brew, Hanson, logans metals, ect for reference and kinda winged it from there lol.
Didn't really like the sides. they looked a little bulky so we cut it down on an angle
Kinda like the logans bumper on my xj.
I'll post more soon

Looks good but........you knew it was coming.
Have you thought about tucking the bumper a few inches closer to the body. This will force you to cut the grill for a winch to fit but give you a better approach angle. If you take your time cutting the grill it looks really good.
Plus, this make the sides not look so bulky.

Nice angles. Looking like a good start. ^^ what he said about moving the front in. My first xj bumper was too far out and acted like a plow at times. Try to suck the winch mounts as far back as possible and maybe add an angle on the bottom. Also I've banged my winch rollers way too many times. What about adding a small guard under where the rollers sit. ( unless your running sunthetic with a hawse) just my two pennies. That will look good no matter what.

Yea I knew I was gonna have to do it eventually. I replaced the floor from the rear seat forward last winter and didn't touch the cargo area.
I was washing the jeep today after wheeling and noticed the spring hanger was pulled away from the floor pan. I bit the bullet and ripped out the carpet.

The bolts are just temp for bolt hole alignment purposes. They will be replaced with grade 8 hardware.
Got some backing plates made up and welded together.
The bumper brackets go on the inside of the frame rail. Then the angle brackets go on the outside of the rail and tie into the radiator support sandwiching the uniframe
