Simple winch plate
I'm getting ready to fab my winch plate and wanted to get some feedback on my design before I started.
Simple yet durable is the mindset here. Unfortunately, I don't have a good way to bend 1/4 plate so I'll be welding tabs for the fair lead mounts with some reinforcement.
Ignore the bumper as it's just there for reference. Just need some constructive criticism on the winch mount itself. All parts touching the bumper will be welded.

I might suggest using some 3/8" plate for the gussets under the plate or at least 3 1/4" gussets.
As long as the bumper you're attaching it to is well built and attached well I see nothing wrong with your design. It's not my idea of aesthetically pleasing but it'll get the Job done.
It's not a whole lot different than that portion of a Detours Backbone winch mount.
