what size jack? i have a 48" i can measure the hole just give an idea of how far apart your wanting or close to it and i can tell ya. like if your wanting to be close to 36" i can go measure the distance between holes that are close to that. but i think they are all about 1" apart. all i have to do is run out to the garage and measure just let me know.
as far as attaching i would most deffinaly try to attach them to the rain gutters. its simple and much stronger especially since you want to add the weight of the spare, jack and who knows what else.

ok got some measurements for ya. from what i could tell the holes are about 13/16 or 7/8 center to center. and im pretty sure i measured a good mounting holes to be right a 32" center to center making them close to both ends. unless you dont want the jack all the way to the bottom. in that case then i would need to take new measurements for ya. hope this helps.

oh also i vote to make some gutter mounts. they are simple and easy to make. you gonna use expanded metal for the flooring or just cross bars?
