Talking xj diesel

Wondering if a liberty diesel swap would even be worth a thought?

They did make a XJ with a turbo diesel. They are very to find in the US.
1985-1987 2.1 L Renault turbodiesel I4 (initially sold in U.S. and until 1993 in Europe)
1985-1987 Renault 2.1L 4cyl. Turbo Diesel - 85 hp @ 3750 rpm, 132 ft lb @ 2750 rpm

That would be a tight squeeze when you consider all the plumbing for air and cooling. I'm sure that its been done or could be done. I would think that you would have to relocate a few items such as battery, washer fluid, cut out AC to move radiator forward, go with electric fans.. ect..

I would love to put a 4BT (4 cylinder cummins) in my CJ6. Were working on the build plans for my neighbors 98XJ. He's planning 4BT, not sure on trans, atlas, HP44 and ford 9" on 35" BFG's, locked and geared at 4.10's with hydaulic steering.
