well the plate in no doubt thick enough. I think as long as your welds to the 2 plates penetrated deep enough you should be good to go. Came out very nice. Gotta love haveing the tools and skills to fab.

we have done plenty of winching and yankin on it and it hasnt bent a bit the only down side is it sticks out so far

Would it be easy to put a receiver in the front bumper so I would mount a winch that way

You'd still have to beef up those bumper mounts like mentioned before.
