With the front bumper I am going to build, the vacuum reservoir tank had to be relocated, so I decided to mount it beside the master cylinder. I rerouted the line and made a mount out of some junk I had under my welding bench.

Another angle.

Gave it a coat of black paint and screwed it to the inner fender with some self tapping screws.

The PO hit a deer on the left side and when he did, it busted all the mounting tabs on the tank. I ground off the busted pieces that were still on the tank, put it in the mount and a couple hose clamps to hold it in place and she was done.

Turned out pretty good and there is still access to the master cylinder to add brake fluid.

All it's for is to hold vacuum to run your heater and AC controls from defrost to heat to bilevel etc. It works without it, but it's like a compressor with too little air, probably a little sluggish to get the job done. It was an easy thing to do, so I figured I might as well keep the tank.

lol no i wouldnt i can make that with my own scrap.
but theres people on here that would love to buy it because they like overkill but dont have the time or tools to make it themselves.
just my 3 pennies short of a nickle tho
..
im sure you could make 10 of em for less then 50$ ( maybe not with 3/16 or 1/4 whatever that is, 1/8 " is enough imo )
and then sell em at 25-30 a pop.
but who knows maybe im wrong.

Thanks for the replies guys! The idea of selling them never occured to me to be quite honest. I'm a welder/fabricator and I just enjoy building stuff outta steel! If it inspires someone to build one of their own----great!! Thats the best thing about these forums. Get some good ideas and run with it!!

I like it, I have'nt uncovered mine yet but it will eventually need a reloacation, looks great. On another note.......that resevoir is MASSIVE, Id almost be tempted to find a smaller one from a Junkyard. The on on my ol 86 ram is probably less than half that size.
