I've been thinking about doing something liek this, but i have a box/drawer setup in my cargo area. With the plastic removed. the sub can be mounted higher than what is shown in most of these setups, correct?
I would have to measure the height of my box. It does fit in between the wheel wells so I know I have room for that. Would also need a grille/guard to protect it. If anyone, who has made a solid box, has cad files for it please send me a link or PM me your info to get it from you. Thanks. I have some 3/4" MDF that I used for shelving on my metal rack that I can cut and build the box. Thanks.

here is my version of a cubbyhole sub box, its a 10 inch kicker i got from fry's for $50 run by a dual 300 watt amp i picked up new for $30 all connected by a KnuKonceptz 8g amp wiring kit i picked up for $28 shipped. all of that plus the materials i built the box out of (fiberglass and mdf) I have under $150 in the setup. the "port" is there so i could put a screw into the plastic to help hold the box.

(i really need to clean my interior!)

Generally speaking never mount an amp to your enclosure. Not only does it subject the amp to endless vibrations but it also makes it easier for thieves to take it all in one easy grab. If you cannot make an amp rack simply bolt it to the back of the rear seat.

Their higher ends subs are still high quality. Amps as well. Like every brand they have lower end lines. Unlike most brands, kickers lower end lines are better than most. Not a brand I personally use but have installed my fair share.
