Tierod into a gearbox brace
Posted this in fabrication before. See https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/making-use-ld-100645/
I would think this is a fabrication. Im not pouring my own steel, but I still think it qualifies. Moderators, please advise. Meanwhile, back at it....
So, im taking an old tierod and trying to convert it. Here is what I have so far:
Take the old tierod end and cut it off at the neck

Welded it to a piece of angled steel (1/8th thick I think)

And heres what I have so far.

Now off to home depot to figure out how to make the brace for the gearbox

but just in case
http://www.quadratec.com/products/22518_700.htm
take a look at that and it might help you to design a mount onto the steering box.
