Default Here is an Easy way to make your cubby hole useful.

Bought some wire holders and some bungee cord straps and screwed them into the interior panel with sheet metal screws. Any extra storage in the old XJ is worth a couple bucks to me.

Sweet that is a cheap and easy way to make your chubby whole useful! even though I have my recovery strap rammed in there right now haha!

You know, why is that like that stock. Yea we can make mods for that space but why did jeep leave it open? Def can do alot with it though

I think they did it because they had a really slick tool box that worked with the cubby hole as one. The back of the tool box was open and fit in the corner over the hole.

The real story that I have found putting the cubby cords in is tge space behind the panel. There is a ton of waisted space behind the interior panel. If I could weld I would fab up an awesome storage super cubby. Take the panel off and have a look see
