Exclamation thinking of mods... what should i do

just got a nice xj, already lifted with lights a front winch bumper and 33's.

thinking of fabbing up a rear bumper, rack, chopping the back, and making a custom snorkel.

also need to find a set of bushwacker fender flairs ( not buying new too expensive)

my question is, what kind of problems should i watch out for when making these mods. ( ex: weight of bumper, routing of snorkle, chopping the unibody, clearance of rack.)

also what other mods should i look into

if your already lifted enough for 33s you need to make your rack a little shallower so it wont get ripped off in parking garages and other low clerance places

Not sure what axles you are running but I just about bet that 33 are at their limit. Find a set of spare shafts if you plan on wheeling it. Also regearing would help take some of the load off the tranny.

X2 on whats already been said but if you plan on wheeling your jeep very hard, dont waste money on bushwhackers. Mine lasted all of 30 mins on the trail and that was with a 5" lift and 32's

Oh right...where im from we only get pulled over if the cop wants to go for a ride lol ......seriously, a cop pulled me over one time to ask what all i had in my jeep (parts wise)

Can you fab at all? I've seen a couple xj's with steel tube fenders that looked much better than any flair you could buy and they were all built for less than you would pay for a set of bushies or rustys flares

Theres much simpler ways of doing it than this but if I had to have some sort of flair, they'd be like this. He did a great job
