finally got around to welding up my tire carrier, all i need now is to make an attachment point and a bumper... Should be easy, if 1/4 plate wasn't sp expensive... lol...

whatcha gonna use for a swing bearing?
i used a trailer hub and just cut off the flange except for 2 inches to weld the triangle frame to. then i just used a hitch pin to lock it all closed.
nice to see you used a hub unit for a tire mount too.

 

Do you have any pictures of your set up? loll would love to see how you mounted it...
I had the hub off a bad wheel bearing so I just welded it on, Instead of having to build one...
But hopfully it'll hold lol...

 

I'm using a rear axle shaft flange that I cut off an old d35 axle shaft.
