Default Started the body armor

So I started fabing up my body armor on the jeep. only got the rear fenders done but here is what i did.Name:  IMG00007-20100528-1257.jpg

the self taping bolts are pretty much there for looks!! I welded them to the body and man are they stiff!! they hold up well. When I get more pics i will post them, but for now my comp is being retarted and wont let me upload some of the pics.

Out of curiosity, will that interfere with the nozzle at the gas pump?

Nope wheeled all weekend and filled it up twice.

Its different and if it fits your needs then great! Here in the PNW that thing would get caught on every tree and root.

well out here in crawlerado we build it for rocks. and these work great for when slide off a rock. lol Name:  rear flex.jpg

Won't that just shove the whole quarter in when/if you hit something and be REALLY hard to pull back out? Seems like it needs to be tied into a roll cage or a beefy rear bumper.

It is supported with tubing that runs through and down the inside of the fender. And what the hell are you going rock crawling and 75 mph and smashing into the rocks? sounds like someone needs a wheeling lesson......

its looks kool i like it. i bet it would be tight it you made it go all the way around the fender and made it into a flare some kinda way

Thanks guys. Yeah i just started the fronts last night. And yeah when they are all said and done they will be tied into the bumpers front and rear and into the the rockers that I'm designing. I will post pics of the front when I'm done here in a day or so
