Default Sprucing up under the hood

I'm getting ready to clean things up under the hood. Got a new header, some Neon injectors and a new valve cover fresh from the powdercoater.

$75.00 for the new cover and another $75.00 for the powder coating. "Lake blue texture" was a special order coating but it looks great on the Gunmetal blue Cherokee. I bought a new cover so I could swap them the same day otherwise the engine would have been apart for a week and a half.

looks great, my valve cover is starting to chip and I was planning on replacing it, now I know what I am going to do. I would love to see a pic when you get it installed.

I installed the valve cover and the Neon injectors the other night. The cover looks good, but now it shows just how much else I need to clean up! THe original cover gasket was leaking and I thought I would start fixing the leaks from the top down. I will post pics later but remember that this was just the first step in getting the engine compartment tidied up. I still need to degrease the sides and bottom to see where the other leaks are. I know the oil filter adapter is seeping and probably the oil pan gasket too.

This may sound dumb but what are neon injectors, are we talking about actual dodge neon injectors or like those underglow neon lights???

They're injectors from a Dodge Neon. They feature four holes in the end of the injector instead of just one. They're a direct swap, and can net you better fuel mileage (due to better atomization of fuel), and a little more grunt. A cheap and easy upgrade, and well worth doing, imo.

To the OP: I can't say that I'm crazy about the color, but I love the texture and how clean it all looks. It looks like it just came from the manufacturer. It'll look great on your engine.
