Default SAS and Longarm question

I am planning on doing a SAS and front long arm setup in my 07 KJ. Can someone tell me the width of a XJ D30 compared to a KJ independent D30? And can someone explain the principles behind designing a simple, yet strong long arm setup safe for the DD/ Weekend warrior? I know this is more tech per-say but figured you fab guys would have some first hand experience info that could be of more use than general tech.

I think the stock d30 is like 59.5/60" not sure about the KJ. If you are aking to have some explain LA designs to you , you are not ready to take on this kind of challenge. Not bashing, just telling you to do research, and learn as much as you can before tearing apart a good rig.

I measured my front D30 at 60.75 and my rear D44 at 60.5 ....

Otherwise PingPong hit the nail on the head. You have to decide what style of long arm you want, whether there is the room to fit it, and how in depth you want to get. Once you decide what you want ... then some of the other builders/fabbers can step out of the woodwork and give more specific advice.

Any useful links you guys know of? And this swap will not be started for another year or so likely until the rig is fully paid off. I just know planning, research, and design is the largest/ most important part of any build so I figured I'd start early. And how do I measure the width. Do I leave the tires on, take them off, and should I measure from the outside of the tire, inside, center, wheel hub, caliper etc?
