ohh!! yea this is my next to do project. had to fix the leak in the corners of the windshield first and now to the floor pans. prob just get some sheet metal and spot weld in and drill for drainage and put in some bed liner.

as I'm starting to fnish my floors I noticed something with the prefab floors. The ones I got were about 3 inches to short on the front side and it compressed the "hump" about 1/4 inch which made the seat mounts1/4 inch short

starting on floors in a 94 xj
Got the bad rust cut out: but haven't dropped the gas tank: probably need to to do it right (not just cover it) I'm gong to try to make floors out of diamond tread: will see how it goes!

Default seat frame floor brakets

I just removed the brakets on my 1996 and used seats with frames from a 1994 or older xj. they mount flat.

I have to deal with that seat bracket thing too: I have a 94, and I want to get rid of my power adjust driver seat, it also has rips in the leather. I have a cloth seat from a 99, but the brackets are flat in the back, and vertical in the front. I'm either going to hammer them flat, or fab up a little corner bracket out of angle iron. Still have to finish the floors, tho.

forget trying to find good floors in the junk yards.. just go to any metal supply yard/steel yard and buy plate steel 18 gauge is what i've used on 3 cherokees and after it was all done i haven't had issues since
the key is to seal the new metal with bedliner/herculiner.... a couple layers inside and out

I just did mine, they looked alot like yours. I got a qt of POR-15, snips, and some new sheet metal. cut the cancer out and treated the rest with POR-15(subframe and what was left of the floor pans etc. mocked up some floor pans and pop rivited them in. I used Henry-2008-R (rubberized roofing asphalt) and then some truck bed liner for a top coat. Most important is there is no rust and is rock solid. P.s. remember to put a drain plug in.

just found a 95 Cherokee cash for clunkers in the local junkyard. The body is completely rust free so I worked a deal out and will be getting the entire interior/fenders/grill and rims for $350. PLUS they have a bumper I wanted to buy with a working wench....pays to check out the junkyard!
