Default Basket Case II

Your roof rack build inspired me to put my own roof rack/basket back into service, so I modified my dealer-option cargo basket (original 48x40, was bought not built with XJ in '99). This is the prototype jigged in-place on the ute bars for carrying to body shop to weld tomorrow morning. Will post pic after basket is all stitched/welded and the rooftop is loaded with cargo. I will then be able to carry my Hobie (~13ft long, 34in wide, 75lbs) and use the basket for all the wet gear (or otherwise). Also scored a 10" V-shaped boat roller assembly for one-man roof loading of the kayak (haven't decided if it should be mounted or portable). Additional options included in this mod has drop-in sections (to close gaps) and the dimensions allow 90deg rotation/mount lengthwise on roof top (rack only, not kayak!).
