Well, got some work done.
Not on the rockers, but on the jeep.

New Hubs, new outer shafts, new tie rods, new U-joints.
this is the front end blown apart.
I took the hubs to work to press in the new studs (ARP 3")
Will put back together tonight.

Well the front end of the Jeep is basically back together.
Need to put wheels back on and torque axle nuts.

I got a new pitman arm that I need to fit, I lost turning radius when I did the high steer conversion. The upper arm is longer than the lower stock arm.

I have been a little side tracked with the addition to the barn.
A heated workshop for working on my baby in the cold snowy winters.
I also poured a slab for my trailer to sit on. 7 Yards of concrete poured and finished !

Slab prep with rat wall.
.

Footing for 12' x 32' extension.

Slab poured and finished, 8:30 PM Mon night.
Footing also done and slab in front of entry door.

Will get back on the jeep after this project.

Progress:

New place for my baby is roughed and roofed.
This is a progress picture it was too dark to take a final picture once it was roofed.

Left to do:

Siding, door install, fill sand and compact, concrete floor, wiring, insulate and heater.

Nitro

Then back to the rockers !

The door will be 8x8.
So at the low side of the slope is 8' + a few".
With a 4/12 pitch it will be 8' + 32" on the left side of the door.

See red lines for door opening. It is roughed in just to dark to take pic Sunday night, will update tomorrow.

hope 8' is tall enough with the garage door and all (if youre putting one in) to get the Jeep in and jacked up without hitting. my garage is 8' also and my jeep just 4.5" on 33 I have to park it correctly to be able to jack it up without hitting the door enough to get the fronts off the ground. I guess if you just pull all the way in past the door you will be ok

Hello.

The existing side, of the pole barn, has a 12' ceiling height, but not isulated.
Engine work and minor modding will be done in the new heated section.
If I have to jack it way up I will have to do that in the unheated side.

Nitro.

umm, sounds like the existing side needs insulation and heat... i got tired of my fingers freezing when i worked on mine so i rented a 20x40x24 shop for $100 a month. and the first thing i did was heat it. no more cold fingers...

Heat is nice, but why settle for heat, when I can get 400 sq ft more space and heat !
This is a mod I have been wanting to do for several years.
When I built the original workshop, I regretted not making it bigger in the first place.
What's that about hindsight ?

Oh well.

Crete goes in this Sat.

Nitro out.

Nice work as usual. I've been wanting to do this mod for a while but plan on cutting the back fender in further before making sliders like yours. I'm jealous of the work space. I'm stuck with a small one car garage for now.
