FINALLY I got to work on the Jeep.

I got the rest of the ends of the 2X6 welded to the body.
I also got the tabs I made for the fenders burned in, they were tacked.

This is the tab for the front fender.

This is inside the front fender well, front of the tube.

This is the rear outer edge.

This is the rear inside the fender well.

Got to love welding to thin gage sheet metal.
Got to clean up with the grinder and then paint.

Still need to do my plates for the miniboatsides.

Will work on it this week.
Got to be done by Oct 26 when I am heading to Superlift park.

Note the concrete ramp, also got all the floors done inside.

Next insulation heat and wiring.

x2 on the welding to the ****ty factoy steel, it sucks, even for the best welders, it still sucks lol. I've dealt with it time and time again.

I really like how you moved the bolt for the frotn fender, and basically did everything I'm about to do, so now I have an awesome source to follow, as to where to cut exactly etc.

Thanks for this thread.

Update.

Decided to add rub bars.
Welded them on and before the weld had cooled loaded her on the trailer and headed to Arkansas.
Wheeled at Superlift ORV park Friday and Saturday.
NICE PARK.

Bar pictures.

They got a workout on the rocks, worked well.
Very glad I did then saved my doors several times.
When they say 5 diamond at that park they mean it.

Weekend consisted of 5 roll overs, more axleshafts and driveshafts than I can remember and 2 lockers. Parts retailers will be happy.
No breakage for me, but I ripped a fist sized hole in my sidewall.
New tire 2 wheeling trips on it.

Time for some metal. You might as well crawl under and see what its gonna take. Remember, its all fixable.

Oh yeah no doubt. The only issue is what is "fixable" and what type of mods can I do while fixing it......I can never just fix something without modding it.
