I like your bumper it is neat. You did an awesome job in following the body lines in the corners. But this made me think and change radically my philosophy about bumpers. I think that a bumper on a off road vehicle must have plenty of clearance around the corners, between the bumper and the tail lights, to take all the abuse it can take without smashing the lights, hatch and body.

still not finished i just have not time to work on it i´ll be cutting and grinding some parts to have more clearance and looseing weight, now is a non important project, the front bumper is in process of clearance and loosing weight both are too heavy at least 300lbs. too much imo.

this is a pic of yesterday.

hey great build. what kind of paint did you use. havent been able to find a type that can stand the abuse and seriuosly prevent rust. everything i try wheres off in about six months.

well i use 3 kind of paint from autozone.
first use the primer, then inside the bumper used undercoat, and then black paint for all the bumper. and it just has 3 months painted this way and not a singn of rust. just scratches fron trees and stuff.

Now that is sweet. I love the design as I am thinking of doing this to my ZJ this summer. I love the swing out. Great job

Hy all,
i've a very noob question. I try to remove the stock read bumper, and i don't how to do. There are two screws, that are behind the bumper, how did you remove them ????

No i dont haver but it's ok thanks, i've found a solution, know i'm making a tire carrier, something not to big (i live in Switzerland and the state doesn't live big modified 4wd =( ). I will post some picture if you want.
