Are you going to tie your hitch in like the go off of photo? i am very interested in that if u do cause this is what i am trying to do just cant figure out of too and make it strong enough....... I am watching this post tho looks very good so far.

well your right i´ll weld it just right in the middle of the bumper.
the only thing that stops me right now is the triangle of the swing carrier, still dont decide the exact location fot it. tomorrow i´ll decide.

Looks like everything is going down just the way you want it. Can't wait to see this rear bumper finished together with the welded hitch. Goodluck man!

thanks man everything till today was fine,hope finish the bumper for saturady if the rain stops, because i have no other place to weld.

well i just found some problem
if someone knows please help me.
i have inox bolts all arround because i use the truck in the beach a lot.
but i want to know is they are strong enough as the 8 grade bolt

well no bushing just steel and inox greasable bolts.

Maybe I'm dense, but I don't understand your pivot/hinge design. Am I seeing it correctly...no bearings?

yes you are, no bearing .
i used to work in this shop, they are specialist in welding and this stuff, they work for halliburton, shlumberger, bj ETC. we used this pivot/hinges in the containers made for this companies. they have never complained.
no bushing, no bearing = no maintenance just lithium grease

i hope, that happened to me with the front one, spent hours gridding ans sanding thats why i´m using the bender.

Looking good so far. And grinding is not that bad if you wear ear protection and are not afraid to make your grinder grind.
