Number of bolts for winch bumper
I'm about to buy a winch bumper from Nate's 4x4 for my '01 XJ. I have read on the forums that 10 bolts are better than the original 6 to add strength to a potentially weak point. The Nate's bumper has a total of 12 bolts mounting the bumper (6 for each side). My question is, the 10 bolts they spoke of, is it 10 per side? Or is it 5 per side? I can't see where 10, bolts pre side would go. Thanks

Typically its their are 6 per side. 5 would be ok I would think though it would be missing a gearbox bolt on drivers side. and 10 per side would be ridiculous. You should be fine imo

Some bumpers say they double as a steering box brace. Will the standard mounts do that? Or do I need an extension?
