Default NEED HELP rear bumper fab.

i'm actually having a buddy of mine help me fab up a new rear bumper and eventually a spare tire carrier but i have a dilema; i don't know how to measure the dimensions what so ever any chance that someone here knows the proper dimensions for a 94 XJ

More than likely you won't be able to get them, because the guys that have them use them to build and sell.

just get a tape measure and measure stuff, and use your imagination.

All you need is a measuring tape and imagination... Look around, take in idea's, put em all together and make your own design..

x3 on cardboard. Measure, and make your cuts using cardboard. Once you get the design you want, use the cardboard pieces as stencils.

Cardboard works great. I actually mocked up the bumper & brackets in cardboard. Make sure you use the rail mounts (these are where a hitch would mount). You will have to make a nut-plate to go inside the frame rail because these will be hidden. I will try to post some pics tomorrow on some ideas that may help u out. I am still in the process of building my bumper.

X25 on the card board(that was supposed to be in my post).. Ive still got all the templates i made when building my bumpers incase i get a chance to build a few more sets.

biulding your own bumper is the best part, because the nit can be however you want it to be, not some stamped peice of metal every other XJ has

Yes it is, when i built mine i took a sortment of ideas and built my own. Thats what fabrication is all about to me, standing out from the rest.
