My welding
I have not really welded before. This is with a harbor freight mig 100. I bought it used from a guy with an autodark helmet and gloves for only $50. Well after playing with it for a while I got a pretty good looking weld in my opinion. I now need more metal to play with. Its fun.
Here is the best weld I made today.

cool it looks great for that welder!
I wanted to buy a 220v one, but then at x-mas my dad gave me a 110v HF Mig.
its not what I wanted, but it is still fun to learn and play with small stuff.
I welded on my lower shock mounts with it, but it was not easy.
I had to use my torch and heat the metal up really good then welded it like nothing.
I am still using the wire it came with, but my friend has the same welder and bought some Lincoln wire and he likes it much better.
its at Lowes for 10 bucks.
so how thick is that metal there? like 1/8th?
later bud

Man, a 220 hook up is super easy if you have ur breaker panel in the garage. I could do it not no time. I will one day buy a better welder and make one myself but no need to right now.

well my garage is all ran off of one 20 amp circuit coming from my house box.
I just upgraded to 200 Amp panel cause my old one was beat!
so I was planning on re-running the wire to the garage and installing a 60A panel out there.
then wireing up a few 220v plugs and some 110v plugs as well.
then I can get a welder and a nice compressor and maybe a heater too!
just wont run them all at once. haha

these are some welds i have done with a 220 Hobart flux core wire all you have to do is practice....im only 16 years old lol the motion i do is side to side. one thing i have learned is go slowly let it melt through and get a good penitration hope this helps good luck

try to keep a 45 degree angle in relation to your metal, and instead of side to side try a loopy motion like a continuous set of little cursive e's, and come back over your weld. itll give you better penetration. and the LOL was because it reminded me of MY first welds, which were fugly but worked. are you able to run gas with that welder?
