Default MJ rear bumper build

For a while now I have been talking baout making some bumpers. Well I am actually going to go through with it now. Tommorow I will be prototyping my first bumper. All the brackets will be CNC Cut. As will the bumper parts.

Here is a pic of the fab shop cutting the bumer brackets out on the table




I will be posting more pics tommorow of the bumper build.

Well I built the bumper yesterday. Unfortunately I didnt take many pics as Jon took a crap load of them.

Here is a pic of the brackets, and they worked perfectly.




as soon as JOn sends me a copy of the pics I will Post them.

Here is a pic of the mounts bolted to the frame


Here I am measuring for positioning the mounts on the bumper. I used a lil math, and got it centered on the first try



Here I am welding clev is mounts to the bumper





Here I am chipping some slag



Here I am grinding some weld splatter off


here I am positioning the bumper to frame mount brackets...




Here is a rear pic of a pretty weld, and you can also see how I mounted the clevis mount as well as the reciever tube

It isnt on my rig.. I built it for someone else. The person who bought it loves it. I all ready have plans to make a swing out tire carrier version
