Default mig welder ideas

looking into buying a mig welder just dont know whats good have about 1400 to spend any ideas?

with 1400 you can get about any you want. i have a hobart and love it. if i had that much i would get a plasma cutter too.

get a nice 210 (if you have the outlet, if not use some of your budget and get the power for it lol) Also get it with a bottle. i have always used millers with NO issues. Just make sure your get a warranty. but lincoln, miller, hobart are good brands.

just my $0.02 again. 210 with gas.


btw i use a millermatic 210 with gas. and i used it to weld my bumper (which is 3/8" thick) and it got VERY GOOD penetration.

just remember it will do GREAT on thick stuff, and thin thin stuff it will work on, but you will need to play with the settings to get it to do it right.



i would buy it in a heart beat!!
