long arm lift wid pendulam 5 speed tranny problem

Default long arm lift wid pendulam 5 speed tranny problem

I got an 89 cherokee lerado. Problem is im told i cant put a long arm lift on it because i have the 5 speed pendulam tranny. Is there any way to put a long arm lift on it without swaping trannys?

I ran into this bs myself.. I ended up fabbing the new cross member so the tranny would bolt up.
Then that crappy tranny grenaded and I up graded to the AX15 and had to refab it to fit that.
He has the puegot ba10. I'd just get a better tranny IMHO

I know it was a PITA when I found out what I had to do
Up to you man..
But I'm glad I upgraded. No more weak tranny with the crappy internal slave design.
If you do..
Parts list:
AX15
tranny mount plate
4wd linkage
Newer clutch
T-case to go with tranny
Slave kit from dodge.

Had to measure and match up a brass pilot bearing and drill the bore larger on the rod that connects to the pedal.
Man I'm glad thats all over.. lol

i was lookin on iron rock lifts and i think i can buy a lift from them that will fix but ill defs look into swappin tranny and t-case. thx guys

if you do go ax15, try to get the post-95 bell housing....because like said above, the internal slave sucks. ive replaced mine twice in a year. and it would have been so much quicker to replace if i didnt have to remove the transmission to do it...lol
