My suggestion was a hole through the rain gutter just large enough to get a zip tie through to use it as a mounting point for the wire inside the conduit. On the one posters post he said his bars didn't come far enough forward, so I was suggestion running the wires on top of the rain gutter(but then you gotta hold em in place)

As for the mickey mouse look just put rectangles on the out side and use them as a side lighting then put 3 daylights in between. That's the plan for mine so I will have light pretty much 360degrees around the car.

I drilled a hole under the main bar when done I used clear window calk and have NO LEAKS

does anyone know of a way to attach some c channel or anything to the factory roof rails (the two that are bolted to the body, that run lengthwise of the vehicle)? i want to have a crossmember similar to the stock roof rack, but it should be sturdy, and sit lower to the roof, versus 2" up from the roof that the factory ones are.
