My question to everyone is where are you running the wires? By this I mean not to hide them under the bar but once you have to go inside the jeep to get electricity. Are you drilling a hole in the roof and using a rubber grommet to seal out the moisture or what?

ran mine through a hole drilled in the roof, and down the pillar on the passenger side (up in the roof, there is a channel on the sides, between the skin and frame)

pretty simple, but it works: and i have the relays on the underside of the bar, so you have power wires, and a couple of trigger wires.

Power lines go from under the dash, thru the firewall, to the battery with an inline 25a fuse

bumper light bar is a front sway-bar cut down and reinforced to the front bumper...

rack light bar is a piece of 1.5" angle steel with two brackets for easy removal and a trailer wiring harness as a disconnect harness for my lights...

i've ran my hella's on the stock roof rack bars before but they would shake from not being completely sturdy

Run the wires UNDER the chrome strip for the windshield. Between the fender and cowl(i currently have 4 12gauge wires running there and a red on top so it is less likely to be noticed). Then your in the engine bay and go where ever you want.

I use the factory rubber inlet for the speedo to run my wires through the firewall.

I used plastic conduit and zip ties to hide the wire between the rack and the chrome strip. Looks decent except my chrome strip was previously damaged so it flew off one day!

It may look noticeable in the picture but I've never had anybody say anything about my wiring.

Yeah but on my 2001 my rails just don't go up far enough, so I stole some of a ZJ and cut 'em down.

And BTW, ckysodkorn_xj, what state is your Sanford in?

Through the liftgate. Then along the trim inside too the switch in my console, And for my front it goes through the door. In the spring I will be drilling a hole And using a rubber grommet, yes.

On that note I would drill a super little hole straight down through the rain gutter and zip tie the wires w/ some black conduit.

Red and black are the easiest colors to make things that don't belong blend and disappear!
