inverter install
Made this enclosure to house/cool my inverter. Install directions said to not mount vertical or on carpeted areas, and since I wanted to install in the back, I decided to mount onto some sort of plate/plank. While I was constructing my cables for the install, I found an old computer tower in the basement and decided I would use it rather than just have it junking up the basement. Here's some pics, still need to attach it permanantly in the rear, want to plan out some mounting options this week..
Used two computer fans to pull in fresh air, with one on the top to vent heat out. Gutted a 12v cig plug usb adaptor to have usb charging on the front panel, put in some lighting, all that is running on 12v power with appropriate fuse, main power is going through a battery cutoff switch, to junction block to circuit breaker to inverter, looks badass when it's powered up! 3 outlets on front panel, thinking about addinfg some 12v lighter type outlets as well....thoughts/comments?

not too bad, 18x18x7, the best part is it disconnects easily and can be moved elsewhere if need be

Thanks all, and yes it does say 2000w, but that's peak, only 1000w continuous...so I hope I don't have to run the blender at the same time as the impact wrench, drill, and sawzall!!!
