Ideas for fixing my rocker panels?

Default Ideas for fixing my rocker panels?

So when i bought my 1988 XJ the rear rocker panels were already rough so now i have ran accross inspection time and it wont pass with the rockers the way they are as well is i have no clue where to fine the harness or reverse light wires (reverse lights dont work trans melted the lines).

you can buy new rocker panels for like 30 bucks. about the lights good luck.

hot rod colors i like, flat blak makes it go faster lol not as much weight in the pain so iv heard LOL

Ya but really there is a couple guys on here that have replace the rocker with just a piece of like 3"x4" scheduled 40 steel tube! the length of you rocker!

id do some 2x5 or 2x6 3/16 wall tube with 3 kick downs to unidoby rails on each side. then you can tell those rocks whose boss

Yeah i have read a couple of other links about how to go about fixing my rocker panels. like cutting out the old and using box steel and all depends if your gonna use onbored air.

Thats just hella crazy lol But might but not a big fan of the boat rocker rails. nice roll cage thouugh. Yeah i didnt like the flat black so much.

My rockers aren't very beat up, but I do have a lot of rust holes. I've been looking around at what to do and how to fix it and i'm just going to weld in some 2''x6'' 3/16'' tube and tie it into the unibody as much as I can. I like that it will fix my rust issues, and I wont lose any ground clearance like with rocker guards
