Whats your guys opinion on a 1/4 elliptic suspension i was taking a look at it and it seems like a good system just wanted to know what you guys think.

problem with this suspension would be too much flex steer....( axle moving out to one side when one tire hits obsticle before other you can adapt your driving to this but still in my opinion would be an annoyance but gives huge flex...as you can see above lol

i wouldnt really trust that . by the time your done fabbing and stuff you could do a sic rear coil conversion with a real 4 link and still get some sic flex

i'm not sure how the 1/4 ellipitical works but i looked at the 3/4 elliptical and to do that on a cherokee you could probly drill the leaf to plug weld then weld the sides but you would have to do the renforce ments to the uniframe so that you got the extra strength

1/4 elliptical setups are generally on the soft side and meant for only one thing, very slow rock crawling. They are so soft that they are not stable on the highway. 3/4 on the other hand are not near as difficult to set up and can be used on the highway safely if you can tie down the 1/4 spring when compressed for highway travel. With those, basically you can double your travel.

Buggy Leafs 3/4 elliptical setups are old school, and with the fancy after market shackle setups there are obselete.
A properly setup 1/4 eleptical is just as much work as a true 4 link with coils. Just have to buy a few more parts to build a 4 link.
