Thanks! I'm using 1 3/4'' 11 guage HREW (pretty much .120 wall) Before the debate on tubing starts, I have built a few cages out of HREW and they have survived roll after roll. Its all about how you design the cage.
Thanks man!
Someday, I hope to become big enough to have employees! The shop is a little unorganized right now. We just moved in on Jan 1st, so we still have some things to get in order. You can see one of the lifts laying on the floor in one or two of the pics....Getting installed tomorrow!!

Technically, its my garage.
I am the owner of Hudafab. We specialize in fabrication, lifts, maint, and pretty much anything XJ related!
My home garage can only fit two cars....I can fit 6 in this one!

I have been researching cages for a few months, mostly because I wanna do it right, partially because I'm too poor to shell out the cash for the bender at the moment. But I have discussed that with you already. Anyway, from all the info I found, unless your going to be building an entire buggy, HREW is more than enough.

just bought pipe bender and welder/tubing notcher. im about to attempt my first exo on my first xj. trying to build it as cheap as possible to **** off all my tj wheeling buddies. i have 25% cash invested in my xj compared to what they paid originally for their STOCK rigs. we have all had them for awhile and we all have lifts/tires but nothing too serious. but my xj will run circles around them with a rough country 4.5 and 33 12.50 15 bfg mud terrain ta's.i love my jeep!
