4" Aluminum Louvered Soffit Vents, get 6 for $10 at Home Depot, Menards, etc. The 4" bi-metal hole saw for the drill costs more.
Painted black and in the hood. Fit tight and held on under the hood by RTV.

So far they have held up well, even have been through a touchless car wash. No rain issues.

Got these a few days ago, but haven't had time to install them yet. Should work out well and they are high quality pieces.

Here's mine. $3 each. Took 15 minutes to cut and install. One of the cleaner hood vent installs I've seen. I was smart enough to move the openings out and away from above the injectors and distributor.

Nice looking Jeep. it would be nice to see a close-up of your vents and have a source for the vents.

Thank You. It's a work in progress. I've been modding this XJ from bone stock at about an hour a night for the last 2 months. Plus I'm a slow mechanic lol. I will update some pics on my build thread tomorrow. Hopefully I will have all 4 flares on by then too.

My hood vents! I'm not done yet, still have to paint the hood, add the trim & the aluminum grill pieces.
I initially was going to go for the round ones someone else on here used but no Lowes or Home Depot near me had them (I was told they were discontinued). I wanted something functional & different so was going to do stars but after laying the templates out didn't like them. My husband suggested XJ & I loved it!
The photos on my FB (Its a public Album) are pretty explanatory. If Its not working I can load them on here after I resize them.
I think for my first mod/fab, first time EVER using a jigsaw & first time not having someone be there to make sure I don't flub up I've done pretty good. I'm proud of it anyways. :-)
