homemade diff. covers, gaurds?

There's one thing that full diff covers do that all the ones in the thread (minus 89eliminator's because his has a ring so it does a little) don't do. Full covers also strengthen the diff housing, and a 1/4-3/8" ring is much harder to peel back than a sheetmetal one.
I'm still rockin stock covers until I do axle swaps though.

true enough but a diff skid is much cheaper and when your running stock gears and such im not to worried bout it. that said once my 8.8 is finished i will be running a beefy cover and may look into something stronger for the dana30 cover a i would hate to damage the new gears and locker
