homemade control arms build
ok i am going to built control arms for my jeep and i need to buy rod ends. What style and size should i use to bolt up to the stock lca mount. if anyone else has done this, please let me know. and pictures on the build process would be very helpful!

x2 much better option. i think the LCAs are 2.5 inches. if your building arms I assume you can weld so why not replace the stamped tabs with better ones. and you can run any bushing size you would like

well get the correct size johnny joints and get the correct DOM tubing thats .25" thick and measure away and weld away, end result is arms

ballistic fab has big hge beefy joints that are the same as the stock joints plus the inserts i did mine as well be sure to take axle to axle measurments before you start working

shoot for something similar to a trail gear creeper joint. 2.63" as stated above. And make sure you use the correct diameter bolt. (9/16" is average. If not the slop will cause a very irritating noise. As far as Jam nuts and stuff, 1 1/4" 12 TPI. Most big time hardware stores carry that size. A larger diameter nut is perfect for welding to square tube because the width of the nut lines up with the square end of the tube.

Great company BTW.
I recommend using 2"x2" 1/4 wall square tubing. It's just easier to work with and crazy strong. I built my 3 link front setup using and have yet to bend them.
