I want to put a drop down screen just in front of the sound bar, but I can not find anything cheap enough, and I'm not planning on spending $1000 just on a screen! LOL

I applaud your ingenuity. I think the next step is to use cardboard and then fiberglass that template. Possible make one that connects the overhead, to pods to rear overhead storage as one unit we can just add in…

LOL, That would be awesome! or i could just fiberglass the entire liner, and put in a whole bunch of storage drop downs! Which, by the way, I had thought about doing.

How did you get the rear portion of the console to stay up? I thought I saw a screw of some sort but I couldn't figure out where it would screw in at. Also, did you make your own mounting bracket to hold it to the stock holes near the windshield?

Under the headliner, where the dome light is, is a bracket that I just put one big screw through. It's been up for many months, and many, many miles without a twitch.

Sort of, but no ... I bought 2 (two) small "L" brackets at Home Depot. They come off the top near the front, and go outward. They fit up under the sun visor holders. The screw that holds the visor retainers is long enough to go through the "L" bracket and into it's origanal bracket. Once again, no problems with the set up.

Well thank you. I am seriously thinking about fiberglassing the entire headliner and molding all the overhead stuff into it .... just need some $$$$$. Stuff for the future include, paint job, bedliner for the rocker panels and bumpers, 3.5" lift and 35" tires, and attempt to stem the flow of oil outside of the engine!

Very cool, I like it.

p.s.
Was there a reason you did this? Do you plan on putting something where the stereo used to be?

I like.... I had been thinking of doing and overhead shelf along the front... but I like this idea too... Maybe I will combine them. As far as securing an overhead console at the rear you could always secure it where the cargo light is and install a better cargo light to the overhead console.
