Subs still hit just as hard and sound great... trust me I hate rattle, I removed my overhead light because it rattled.

Broken leg so I can move anything around right now, but ill try post more pics when I move everything out to clean next time.
Some pics from my new rear hatch setup...
Decided I needed to keep it from flying around when offroad, it also allows me to mount heavier things to the board, doubled up the plywood... plans to have a hi jack and powertank mounted to it with a safari strap to protect rear passengers.
All bolted into the sides of the truck, 2x4 supports w/ heavy gauge hardware.
Doubled plywood, bolted together, rattle canned the wood.
Wrapped the top ply in carpet to match the truck carpet and sub box.
Soft and helps sound deadening
So far no issues, and it keeps the subs from moving around.

yea...in a static state maybe. Factor in you driving or hitting the brakes at 70mph and the force goes WAAAY up ( Force = mass x acceleration). So now your 70lb tire x the standard 15 fpsps deceleration rate = about 1000 lbs flying toward your head. That is not going to be enough to keep that tire in place...
