Is there any depth to the box to amplify the bass? Right now it just looks like two pieces of board glued together.

its not too bad but im not looking to get insane noise, just a little base and i nail gunned it together and silicone it also

Better watch. Not enough box volume will destroy a sub.

you need to somehow port that box in a few spots. It's way to small to be sealed.

It's probably .5 cu. A 1.5" port 9" long should help

lol i don't think it's big enough for that. The back and sides are pretty much out of play being stuffed in a cubby. Maybe able to get some hole ports in the front - like (2) 2" dia ports in the bottom and (2) 1" dia ports to the right side

x2. free air = ****ty quality. gots have some resistance for them there round thumpy bowls

I have two cerwin vega free air 10s that I built a solid baffle for in my mustang. The subs are designed for free air. They actually sound really good.
