Some pics from my new rear hatch setup...
Decided I needed to keep it from flying around when offroad, it also allows me to mount heavier things to the board, doubled up the plywood... plans to have a hi jack and powertank mounted to it with a safari strap to protect rear passengers.
All bolted into the sides of the truck, 2x4 supports w/ heavy gauge hardware.
Doubled plywood, bolted together, rattle canned the wood.
Wrapped the top ply in carpet to match the truck carpet and sub box.
Soft and helps sound deadening
So far no issues, and it keeps the subs from moving around.

It's a stand alobe bumper. That's why I've got it so high. I plan on running a compressor soon. Will make it easier. But all I do us hook up at work and fill before we leave. I can do a write up. We used the "weave" technique for the welds to ensure it would hold. Right now its getting inyati (rhino line) put on it. Will post when done.

Nice construction on that cargo setup, good addition with the tie downs too.
