Since I have a non disco axle, almost nothing else vacuum powered and removed my cruise control, I removed my (cracked) vacuum ball and just put a plug in the line. Everything works exactly as normal now, minus a vac leak.

Yes. If the ball is not working or the vacuum line is broken... your A/C will still blow cold but just out the defroster vents.

GAHH really! my ac is out cause i need a new coil but i tried the fan and it would only blow out the winshield defrost vents. Is the ball bad if the fan wont blow through the other vents ? How much are these vacuum *****? Cheap?

You can make one, it's just a hollow plastic ball, nothing special about it, just provides a space for a vacuum.

I cut the brackets off a set of front seats. (below the slide rails) Then wielded tabs on and bolted in place of the rear bench.
