What kind of material you have used for your switch panel?

Quote: Sorry, those are not the Trucklite ones.

These are. And it is the BEST money you will EVER spend on your XJ. I am saving up now for a set for my other XJ and my Commanche.

So do people spend this type of money for light? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Truck-Lite-5-x7-Rectangular-LED-Headlamp-Kit-Jeep-Wranlger-YJ-Cherokee-XJ-MJ-/281467409578?hash=item4188c3d4aa&vxp=mtr

Why are those trucklites so expensive?

They use 2 high power LED chips verses a large number of single LEDs that the lesser quality brands use. Also, with LEDs, and all light for that matter, its all about the housing and how it reflects the light to where you want it to be.

For those looking for a less expensive LED headlight, pick up a set of good quality H4 housings and some Olympus Offroad LED bulbs. I've installed a set on a buddies cherokee and they were very impressive for less than half the cost of the Trucklites

For that price point you could build a retrofitted projector setup.

Trying to figure out a way to fab a fishing rod holder for my front bumper. Looking to make something that I don't have to weld and would bolt to the front license plate mount.
Thanks in advance - RangerWeaver

PS: this is my first post

Welcome aboard! There's tons to see and great ideas to copy if you have time to dig around in here. If I were to do this I'd use pvc and attach it to the bumper with some kind of heavy conduit holder I don't the the plate mounts have enough support. That's my thinking good luck though I'd love to see how it turns out

Thanks. I've actually been on this forum long before I owned my jeep. Came on here to get ideas for my old ram (RIP). I've already decided on some homebrew mods to do when I have the income

Tried my hand at making some hood spacers. I made the spacers out of some .75" square tubing I have. I ended up using the factory shims as well to get up just a tad higher.

I prefer hood vents over spacers.

Well! I took the idea of using a bike cup holder idea and did my version of it!! So here's the before and the after! (1989 Jeep Cherokee Limited with the telephone). It can support a good sized drink. As long as it fits it sitz!
