It would clear if you did that way too. The way mine are, I went all the way up to the plastic tread plates. It looks better in my opinion. I wanted them to be different

ok good deal. What about the front quarter panel did you chop it too? I'm thinking of not cutting due to it needing support. I will have to look behind the panel and check this out. But I have cancer on mine as it was from MO. Its about 100 bucks to fix the cancer by cutting and welding a new rocker in. So figured i might do custom stuff to it.

You can just fold the fender over over top of the 2x6 and bolt it down into the 2x6.

Yes I was talking about the piece around the wheel. Fold sounded good until I read it may crack. Hmmm I'll find something out if I get time tomorrow.

It's just the paint that would crack. Sand it a little and spray on some bedliner or something and you'll be fine.

I'm gonna wind up bedlining my whole Jeep when it gets warm anyway so cracking paint is about the last thing I'm worried about.

Do you have anymore pictures of the bottoms of the doors where you cut off? Maybe before and afters? If not do you think you could explain in detail a little about how you did it? I'm going to be attempting this if things work out in the next few weeks. Thanks
